abstract = {We propose a technique to diagnose and treat individual cells in
the human body. A virus-like system delivers a copy of a diagnosis and
treatment DNA complex to each cell. The complex determines whether the cell
has a specific disease based on the presence or absence of indicator mRNA
molecules and, if the diagnosis is positive, releases a proper drug for
treatment. As a tool for the diagnosis and treatment system, we develop a DNA
implementation of an arbitrary finite state machine.}
