I am currently studying Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst as an undergraduate. I will be attending graduate school in the Fall semester of 2011.
Security and Privacy Research Lab (SPQR)
Investigate and log common uses of micro-controllers. In Progress.
My task was to determine the location of objects in a room using a Unibrain Fire-i webcam mounted on the lab robot UMan. My findings are inconclusive, but can be found here. My work ended when the research moved to Technische Universität Berlin in Germany.
Rate Your Class allows students to rate and critique courses they have taken. The idea is to allow students to learn more about courses they are interested in taking before enrollment.
Developed a keyless entry system for an apartment. The door to the apartment building is unlocked by using the door bell to enter a secret code. An RFID card is used to unlock the door to the apartment itself. We used an Arduino Micro-controller to accomplish this. Images of the development of the project can be found here.
This project is a modified version of Steve Hoefer's work 'Secret Knock Detecting Door Lock'.
