I am a second year graduate student in Computer Science at UMass-Amherst. I work with Prof. Alexandra Meliou in the Database and Information Management Lab. Prior to joining UMass, I graduated from IIIT Hyderabad in 2010 with a B.Tech and Masters in Computer Science, the latter under the guidance of Prof. Kamal Karlapalem.
My research interests are in data mining and machine learning.
Fusion of Probabilistic Data    [poster]
Cleaning the data extracted from the web is not straightforward: extracted data is typically uncertain and different extraction systems often provide duplicate or conflicting results. In this project, we study the problem of integrating data from multiple extraction systems, targeting three main challenges (a) limited knowledge of the inner workings of each extraction method (b) uncertainty in the source data and the extraction results and (c) unknown correlations between extraction methods.Ravali Pochampally, Vasudeva Varma.
