I am a first year graduate student in Computer Science at UMass-Amherst. I work with Prof. Hanna Wallach in the area of machine learning and statistical text analysis. Prior to joining UMass, I graduated from IIIT Hyderabad in 2010 with a B.Tech and Masters in Computer Science, the latter under the guidance of Prof. Kamal Karlapalem.
UMass-Amherst (2011-Present) : Working on developing probabilistic models which can assess the diversity and emergence of topics in scientific literature.
IIIT Hyderabad (2009-2010) : Developed a system which extracted multiple view-points from text using the synset ontology from WordNet.
Rediff.com (2010-2011) : Involved in search log mining. Worked on filtering search results which were not helpful to users using implicit feedback in form of clicks, time-spent on urls etc.
