Future

I have accepted a tenure-track position in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. I will be starting there in Fall 2012.

Research

I am a member of the Knowledge Discovery Laboratory, directed by my advisor, David Jensen. I previously was advised by Paul Utgoff of the Machine Learning Lab.

My research interests lie in music informatics, an interdisciplinary field combining computer science with music. I am interested in advancing the state of artificial intelligence and machine learning by developing new computational methods and models for processing and producing music and musical information.

Education

I will be receiving my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I received my M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I received my B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, in 2004. Before that, I attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.

Teaching

During Spring 2012, I am the teaching assistant for CMPSCI 240: Reasoning About Uncertainty.
