About Me

I am a first-year graduate student in Department of Computer Science, University of Massachusetts, Amherst. My research interests are in the broad areas of Data Mining, Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. I received my B.Eng degree from Department of Computer Science in Tsinghua University. Before coming to UMass, I worked with Prof. Jie Tang through out a total of two years as an undergraduate student on some research about Data Mining with an emphasis on social network analysis.

Software Engineer Intern

Department of Knowledge Search, Baidu, December 2010 - May 2011
  • Optimize the hierachical classification system of Baidu IKnow, which is a free, web-based, collaborative encyclopedia project supperted by Baidu, Inc.
  • Build a Test_Bench for Baidu IKnow hierarchical classification system with Python under Linux.
  • Anayze the clicking logs of the users and improve the PV of the recommended questions.
