I am a 2nd year Ph.D. student at the Center for Intelligent Information Retrieval (CIIR), University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Currently, I am working with Prof. W. Bruce Croft. Prior to joining CIIR, I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Taiwan University.
I am interested in solving problems in Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. My recent research focuses on evaluating and improving search based on social media collections. I have also worked on research problems in a variety of domains, including cross-lingual information retrieval, measuring query similarity based on query log data, and ranking query terms for effective query formulation.
