I am currently a first year MS/PhD student in Computer Science at the College of Information and Computer Sciences, University of Massachusetts Amherst. I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Prashant Shenoy in the Laboratory for Advanced Software Systems (LASS). I am broadly interested in distributed systems, networks, and operating systems. My current research focuses on modeling and system building around transient servers.
I received my MS in Software Engineering in 2015 and BS in Information Security in 2012, both from Beijing Jiaotong University. During my master's studies, I worked on research projects on virtual network embedding algorithms and performance modeling of cloud data centers under the supervision of Prof. Xiaolin Chang. Before joining UMass, I worked as a research engineer at the Network Architecture, System and Protocols (NASP) research group at Tsinghua University, led by Prof. Dan Li. Before that I was a backend engineer at AutoNavi Information Technology Co., Ltd., an Alibaba Group company.
