I was a graduate student and Research Assistant for the Resource Bounded Reasoning laboratory at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, studying problems in Artificial Intelligence. I am originally from Marlboro, New Jersey, and graduated from Cornell University in 1998 with a double major in Computer Science and (cognitive) Psychology. In 2005 I earned my Master's Degree in Computer Science at Tufts University, my advisor was Jim Schmolze. From 1998 to 2006 I worked at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, first as Assistant Staff and then as Associate Staff.

My Ph.D. dissertation, successfully defended in October 2011, was titled "Decision-Theoretic Meta-Reasoning in Partially Observable and Decentralized Settings". The topic combined my three theoretical research interests: meta-reasoning, partially observable environments, and decentralized settings. My advisor was Professor Shlomo Zilberstein.

I am currently employed by Aptima, Inc., more details here

For information on the Dec-POMDP model, see Chris Amato's DEC POMDP Page
